Duncan

Hi my name is Duncan, and here's my story.  My owners turned me into the SPCA when the care for my allergies and bad skin became too much to handle.  You see, I had such bad allergies that my fur on my back was gone and my skin had turned black.  The SPCA knew I would be tough to place in that condition and that I needed some TLC (and I agreed whole-heartedly).  So, the SPCA called Westie Rescue, Inc, and those fine people sent me on a trip to the Vets where I had baths everyday, was neutered, had my teeth cleaned and even needed one tooth pulled.  After about a month I went to my foster home where I was able to play with some other Westies, and meet my new best friend named Abby - another Westie.  Well I wasn't there for too long because my forever family fell in love with my good looks and charming personality, and took me to my new home in July.  I now have a dog friend named Diesel and 2 cats that I play with.  In addition, I really love my new Mom and Dad, and my sister Maddy and brother Nathan.  I follow Nathan everywhere - we play fetch in the backyard and I even get to sleep on his bed at night.  Since I'm in Charlottesville, VA, I get to see my friend Abby once in a while too.  So that's my story, and as you can see, it started off kind of scary, but now I think I'm the luckiest dog around!
