Ginger

Ginger is a real survivor and WRI success story.   She is a small, rather timid, but very sweet Westie that came into rescue with several health concerns, the most critical a malfunctioning liver shunt.   In addition, Ginger had vision and muscle coordination problems, was not house trained and had some mild brain damage - she occasionally suffered seizures. It was very obvious that she had not been loved nor received much care for her first 3 years of life.  After surgery to close the liver shunt and spaying, Ginger quickly recovered and soon began to enjoy her life - going on walks, carrying her toys around, cuddling in a blanket, and of course, eating TREATS!!  She now has a family that loves her and understands her limitations.  And she has two Westie brothers to play with her at the beach - she lives on Maryland’s eastern shore.  She’s our “beach bum” Westie!!
